In collaboration with national and international universities and public institutions, Syremont manages research projects concerned with the development and testing of new products and services for the conservation of environmental and cultural heritage. This experience has allowed the application of leading methodologies and technologies, as well as the training of highly specialised professionals able to carry out a vast range of surveys and studies. Thanks to the cooperation with the Universities of Cosenza, Messina and Pavia, Syremont has the highly specialised and modernly equipped laboratories at its disposal.

DIAGNOSIS AND MONITORING – RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION – MAINTENANCE
The control of the microclimatic, lighting and air quality parameters, together with a suitable prevention plan regarding human, environmental and structural factors which can generate risks, are fundamental actions to guarantee the conservation of historical artistic heritage sites. The operations carried among diagnostic studies are made up of a vast typology of surveys on Chemistry, Physics, Biology etc. The knowledge regards both the understanding of the original artefact together with its progressive decay due to time and harsh environmental conditions. Even environmental research is considered as an essential base for scientifically planned conservation actions. These include large scale surveys, in both open and confined environments, thermohygrometric studies, research on the aggressiveness of atmospheric gases and particles. Within the Salvalarte (Save the Art) campaign, promoted by Legambiente (Environmental Union), Syremont has supplied important technical support, verifying and protecting the condition of numerous monumental and artistic complexes throughout the Italian landscape, as well as measuring the damage inflicted by polluted atmospheres.

STRATEGIC PLANNING
Syremont operates in both public and private contexts (urban areas, museums, theatres, castles, historic villas, private collections, parks and gardens) where upgrading of buildings, landscapes and urban situations is required, for the purpose of public use. Syremont is registered with the Italian Authority Avcp “Autorità per la vigilanza sui contratti pubblici” as an engineering company and is certified under ISO 9001.
